The first homes in Montgomery, Trefeglwys, Trewern, Talybont-on-Usk and Talgarth in Mid Wales have welcomed the broadband upgrade, which has come thanks to Superfast Cymru – a partnership between the Welsh Government, BT, UK Government and the European Regional Development Fund.
Deputy Minister for skills and technology Julie James said: "Superfast broadband has the ability to change the way we live our lives."
People who have not yet received the upgrade can check their postcode online to see when their area is due to receive it.
