Police said the crash, which involved a blue Ford Fiesta and a blue Honda, caused the road to be blocked for a short time.

Claire Brown, a spokeswoman for West Midlands Ambulance Service, said: "We had two ambulances and a rapid response paramedic on scene.

"There were three patients altogether and they were out of the vehicles when we got there.

"They were sent to Royal Shrewsbury Hospital with what looks like minor injuries."

Firefighters from Wem were called to the scene who helped made the vehicles safe.

Police are urging anyone with any information about the crash to call 101 and quote incident number 85S of May 11.
