Man banned from Shropshire garage after driving off without paying

A man has been banned from his local garage in Shropshire after filling up his car with petrol and driving off without paying.

Police were called to the Co-Op garage in Minsterley, near Shrewsbury, and quickly identified the vehicle and driver.

A West Mercia Police spokeswoman said: "It was reported to police that a male had pulled up to the petrol pumps at the Co-Op Garage in Minsterley, filled his vehicle up with fuel and then left without making any attempt to pay for it.

"Enquiries by the Safer Neighbourhood Team identified the driver, who has received a caution and has been banned from the garage and store."
