Three crews from Hodnet, Market Drayton and Prees were called to the fire at Winstanswick and used hosereel jets to put out the fire.

There were no reports of any injuries.

The fire service had left the scene by 6.30pm.

Elsewhere a serious blaze was averted when the electrics caught fire at a house.

The main electric box of a two-storey house on Marlbrook Way in Roden, near Shrewsbury, burst into flames at about 6pm.

Four fire crews, including a light pumping unit, were sent from Shrewsbury, but the blaze was dealt with swiftly by using dry powder extinguisher on the electrical distribution board, which was on the outside of the property.

Officers from Western Power Distribution were called to make the electrics safe.
