Teaching set to start at new Wolverhampton University site in Telford

Teaching is due to start later this month at the University of Wolverhampton's new site in Telford.

It follows an agreement reached last year between the university and Telford & Wrekin Council for the top floor of Southwater One to become the home of the new University Centre Telford.

Classes for Telford College of Arts and Technology Students (TCAT) will start later this month, with university classes due to start in the Autumn.

Jackie Dunne, University of Wolverhampton deputy vice-chancellor, said: "The University of Wolverhampton is delighted that teaching at University Centre Telford, at Southwater One, will begin on April 20.

"This will be by our partners, Telford College of Arts and Technology, and the classes will be for existing TCAT students.

"The University of Wolverhampton is due to start teaching courses at Southwater One in the autumn.

"A family Open Day will take place on May 16.

"People can find out more about what University Centre Telford can offer them, from 10am to 4pm.

"There will be information about the courses, sample sessions and routes into higher education, as well as details of the University's business solutions service.

"In addition there will be a range of free, fun, family activities on offer and further details of these will be announced nearer the time."
