Inquest opens on Telford car park tragedy man Ian Lam

An inquest on the man who died after falling from the top of the Southwater car park in Telford has been opened and adjourned.

Ian Yick Fei Lam, 42, died at 3.38pm in Telford Town Centre on March 14.

Mr Lam, of Dean Close, Priorslee, who was born in Hong Kong in 1972, was an accounts clerk.

He was married to Mary Pui Fan Lam, an assistant company secretary.

A post mortem examination carried out last week at the Princess Royal Hospital, Telford, gave a cause of death as multiple injuries.

Mr John Ellery, coroner for Shropshire, Telford & Wrekin, yesterday adjourned the inquest to June 8.
