Woman taken to hospital after crash near Bridgnorth

A woman was taken to hospital with a shoulder injury today after crashing her car near Bridgnorth.

The accident happened on the B4555 in Chelmarsh.

A rapid response vehicle and an ambulance were sent just before 8am.

Suzie Wheaton of the ambulance service said: "There was one car involved and one female patient.

"She was treated for a shoulder injury and take to Royal Shrewsbury Hospital for treatment but was not serious injured."

Firefighters were also sent from Bridgnorth, Cleobury Mortimer and Wellington to make the vehicle safe.
