Two people taken to hospital after three-car crash on the A41 in Shropshire

Two people have been taken to hospital following a three-car collision on the A41 in Shropshire.

One person had to be cut free from their car and was taken to the Princess Royal Hospital in Telford with chest injuries, while a second person, a man in his 70s, was taken to Royal Shrewsbury Hospital with minor head injuries.

The accident happened at about 10am in Tong near The Bell Inn pub.

Fire crews from Albrighton, Telford Central and Wellington were sent to the scene. The ambulance and police services were also on the scene.
