Bid to trace witnesses after fight near Telford town centre pub

Police are trying to trace two men who were witnesses to a fight near a pub in Telford Town Centre in which a number of people were injured.

The incident happened near to the Thomas Botfield pub on Saturday.

Four men, in their late 20s and early 30s, have been arrested in connection with the incident, one on suspicion of affray, the other three on suspicion of causing grievous bodily harm.

All have been released on police bail pending further inquiries.

The first witness police want to speak to is described as white, smartly dressed and with a beard. He spoke to police on the night but officers say they would like to speak to him again.

The second man was white, of medium build, and approximately 5ft 8 inches tall. He was wearing a dark jumper with a white horizontal stripe across the front and dark trousers.

Officers investigating the incident would like to hear from both these men or anyone else who witnessed the incident.
