You might be forgiven for seeing double at one Shrewsbury dog home this week.

Dogs Trust Shrewsbury is appealing to dog lovers to double the love and find homes for three pairs of doggie doppelgangers.

Staff at the Dogs Trust Shrewsbury are playing spot the difference while trying to find homes for their twin furry friends.

The unusual duos are each two 'pups-in-a-pod' who not only look identical but they are also the best of friends and are looking to find happy homes together.

Lee Pogson, supporter relations officer at Dogs Trust Shrewsbury said: "We often see pairs of dogs who need to find homes together but this is the first time we have seen three pairsat the same time.

"Whilst they may be mirror images of each other when it comes to their appearance, they have their own personalities so they are easy to tell apart.

"It's always a little harder to find new homes for pairs of dogs but it would be difficult not to fall in love with these duos.

"They are inseparable so we would love to see them find new homes together."

The first pair of doggy doubles are Lurchers Barry and Jack, both aged five. Barry and Jack are cheeky chaps who have always lived together.

Another pair looking for a new home are Dalmatians Kayla and Jess. They

arrived in January through no fault of their own. Having lived together since Jessie was a puppy they are totally devoted to one another.

Crossbreeds Timber and Dakota are looking for a new home. Timber and Dakota have become firm friends since meeting at the rehoming centre in November.
