Man taken to hospital with facial injuries after serious Telford assault

A man was taken to hospital after he was seriously assaulted close to a pub in Trench, Telford.

There was a verbal altercation before the victim, a 41-year-old man, was physically assaulted by another man. He sustained serious facial injuries requiring treatment at Princess Royal Hospital.

The offender is described as white, bald, of a stocky build and had gold teeth.

The assault occurred on Saturday between 12.30am and 1am near the Duke of York pub on Trench Road.

Police say anyone who witnessed the assault should call 101, quoting incident 41S of January 31.
