The Iron Bridge will feature during a dramatic chase scene in Dracula –Killer on the Catwalk, with plans to film a romantic scene on the famous Bridgnorth Cliff Railway

The film, which has a two million dollar budget, will be distributed over the internet through services such as Netflix.

Dr Malvern Tipping, owner of the cliff railway, said: "We would be very happy to facilitate the proposed filming provided that it could be fitted around our passenger commitments.

"I gather the producers plan to undertake most of their filming in August, which falls within our busiest time of the year.

"The cliff railway very much relies upon its summer takings, together with Saturday shoppers, to keep the passenger service running throughout the year. Therefore, we would have to work with the producers to find a time when filming can take place without too much disruption to our passengers.

"In the meantime, we are waiting for the producers to make contact with us."

The film is described as a horror thriller, with hints of black comedy, and shows the dark side of the fashion industry. Former James Bond star George Lazenby, 75, will appear in the film, while the lead role will be played by European model James Tratas.

The story follows Damien Racula, a vampire obsessed and egomaniac fashion designer, his ambitious publicist Sophie, vampire hunters Professor Kovacs and his feisty granddaughter, Julia, a try-hard DJ named DJ Van Helsing and a wacky nightclub promotions girl called Rebel.

The producers had planned to make their movie in Hungary, but later changed their minds and decided to shoot it in Shropshire.
