Teenager attacked with a blade at Telford skate park

An 18-year-old man was taken to hospital with chest and hand injuries after an attack at Sutton Hill in Telford.

The victim from Telford was walking past Sutton Hill Skate Park, pushing a bicycle, when he was attacked by a man with a bladed weapon, at about 6.30pm on Sunday.

The offender ran off in the opposite direction and did not take any of the victim's property.

A police spokesman said: "The offender is described as black, around 20-years-old, of slim build with short hair. He was wearing dark clothing and trainers.

"The victim sustained slight injuries to his chest and hand and was taken to Royal Shrewsbury Hospital for treatment."

Anyone who saw the incident is urged to contact West Mercia Police on non-emergency number 101 quoting incident number 0511s of 25 January 2015.
