Two people attacked in Telford robbery

Two young people, including a 17-year-old, were assaulted and robbed in a Telford underpass.

The robbery happened on Friday between 5.15pm and 5.25pm in the underpass under Castlefields Way, which runs between Waverley in Woodside and Madeley.

A 17-year-old teenage boy and his 20-year-old friend were walking from the direction of Aldi back towards Woodside. They walked into the underpass and were approached by four men who had their faces covered.

The teenage victim was assaulted and received minor facial injuries but managed to get away without anything being taken. His friend had his black rucksack with a bones pattern on it and his black iPhone 4 stolen.

The first suspect has been described as a white male, about 5ft 11ins in height, stocky build and poke with a southern London accent and the second was described as a white male, about 6ft 2ins tall with a slim build.

Police say the third suspect was described as mixed race male, about 5ft 11ins in height and the fourth suspect has been described as having darker skin than the mixed race man and about 5ft 11ins tall.

The victim has described them as all wearing clothing that displayed Nike, Adidas and Reebok logos and were all wearing masks cover their lower faces.
