Trapped woman freed from car after Lilleshall crash

A driver was taken to hospital with minor injuries after her car ended up on its side.

The accident saw the car leave the road at Abbey Road in Lilleshall at 12.50pm on Tuesday. An ambulance and paramedics, as well as a fire crew and rescue tender, were sent.

The woman, in her 40s, was released from the vehicle and assessed at the scene for an eye injury and shoulder pain. She was then taken to Princess Royal Hospital in Telford for further checks.

In a separate accident a driver had a lucky escape when his Ford Fiesta rolled on to its roof on the A41. It happened in Sandford at around 4.30pm.
