Funeral date set for Telford murder victim

The funeral of a woman who was found murdered at a flat in Telford will take place next week.

The body of 59-year-old Davinia Loynton, known locally as Dink, was discovered at Glebe Flats, St John Street, Wellington, on September 22.

Kevin Hyden, aged 34, of Glebe Street, Wellington, has been charged with murder and remanded in custody until his next court appearance on December 22.

The funeral will take place on Wednesday from 3pm at Telford Crematorium.

A 35-year-old-man, a 21-year-old man, a 21-year-old woman, a 50-year-old man and a 38-year-old woman, all arrested on suspicion of murder, have been released on police bail pending further investigations until November 4. A 77-year-old man from Telford, who was arrested earlier on Thursday on suspicion of assisting an offender and attempting to pervert the course of justice, has also been released on police bail.

Ms Loynton worked at cleaning product company Serchem at Arleston. Heartfelt tributes were paid to her following her death. She was described as a "lovely, hardworking and thoughtful" woman, who would do "anything for anyone."
