Road closed after motorcyclist injured in crash near Bridgnorth

A motorcyclist required hospital treatment today after being involved in a collision with a car in Bridgnorth.

It happened on the A442 Cann Hall Road shortly after 5.30am.

The accident caused the road to be closed for a short time and queuing traffic in both directions at the B4363 St John's Street junction.

Steve Parry, spokesman for West Midlands Ambulance Service, said: "The motorcyclist, believed to be one male in his 40s, was taken to the Princess Royal Hospital in Telford with minor injuries after coming off his bike.

"We sent one ambulance and a paramedic officer to the scene."
