Shropshire rail delays after freight train breaks down
Trains between Shrewsbury and Crewe were being delayed by 40 minutes this morning after a freight train broke down.

The train was blocking the line between Shrewsbury and Wem.
Eryl Jones, spokesman for Arriva Trains Wales, said: "One Arriva train service, the 8.50am from Shrewsbury to Manchester was diverted via Chester. This was the only service we operate to be affected."
Other trains on the line are operated by Virgin Trains.
