Michelle Wilson, the town council's clerk, said: "We have had the cameras in the town recently checked and some repairs have been carried out so they are all working fine at the moment.

"The town council has been awarded a grant, but I can't give the details yet."

The cameras are run by the security company Secureasound

Mayor Councillor Rob Hewson said: "I think it is brilliant that we are going to be able to improve the CCTV."
