Police plea after 100 sheep stolen

About 100 sheep have been stolen from the Llandinam area of Mid Wales, police have said.

The stolen sheep include ewes with their lambs, officers say.

The animals were taken sometime between Wednesday and Friday last week.

Dyfed-Powys police spokeswoman Sharon Reynolds said: "Most of the sheep were Welsh mountain ewes with their lambs.

"The sheep would be marked and tagged, but the lambs were not marked or tagged."

Meanwhile police in Welshpool are investigating damage to three panes of glass at the Institute in Bridge Street at Llanfair Caereinion.

The damage was caused sometime between 6pm on Monday and 9am on Tuesday.

The damaged windows are in an alleyway that leads to the public toilets in the town.

Police say they are also investigating the theft of a quad bike from a farm in the Four Crosses area, between Llanfair Caerenion and Llanerfyl sometime between 6pm on June 30 and July 1.

The quad bike is described as a red Honda TRX quad bike, index number DX54 SZF.

And police in Llanidloes are investigating the theft of noise monitoring equipment from the Glyn Brochan area of Llanidloes. The theft occurred sometime between June 27 and June 30 from a property in Glyn Brochan.
