£4,000 bikes stolen in Shropshire burglary

Burglars broke into a garage at a house near Newport and made off with three bikes worth almost £4,000, police said today.

They broke into the garage in Meadow View, Adeney, by climbing through a window and took three expensive mountain and racing bikes.

The theft happened sometime between midnight on March 30 and 5pm last Saturday.

The first bike is a blue, single speed Bianchi bike worth around £500, while the second bike is a black "Charge Blender"mountain bike with suspension forks, Ram shifters and a Ram rear derailer, worth around £1,500.

The third bike is a red, Kinesis 4 Cross with carbon wheels, valued at around £1,800.

Chris Ammonds, a spokesman for West Mercia Police, said: "Police officers investigating this burglary are keen to speak to anyone who believes they may have information about it."

Anyone with information should call police on 101, quoting incident number 598S 050414.
