Plan for 120 new Shrewsbury homes given go-ahead

About 120 homes will be built as the first part of a major development in Shrewsbury which will include a new link road and countryside park, it has been confirmed.

The plans for land off Hanwood Road have been approved by planning officers at Shropshire Council.

Under the terms of the agreement developers Barratt Homes will contribute £982,000 towards bus services, pathways and 15 affordable homes to be included in the development.

Officials at Barratt Homes today said the first homes would be ready for use later this year.
