The crash involved one saloon car which collided with a crash barrier near the A5 Gledrid roundabout between Chirk and Oswestry.

One crew from Oswestry attended to stem the flow of leaking fuel from the vehicle and make the car electrically safe.

The crew was called out at 9.35am today and spent half an hour dealing with the fuel spillage.

Police spokesman Chris Ammonds said the crash happened about 100 yards north of the Gledrid roundabout and did not cause any major delays to traffic.

He said officers were alerted to the collision at about 8.30am.

The West Midlands Ambulance Service was not required to attend.
