A stunning sunset was taken on Sunday from Chetwynd Aston, near Newport. The picture was taken by Star reader Don Langford.

It shows the silhouettes of four huge trees as the sun set at about 7.30 last night.

Mr Langford captured the image using his small digital camera from his home in Littlehales Road, Chetwynd Aston, looking towards Shrewsbury.

The 71-year-old said: "I was sitting inside and I saw the beautiful sunset through the window and just had to take a picture.

"I've always got my camera with me just in case there is something worth a pic. I'm quite a keen photographer.

"It's fantastic. It's once in a lifetime because the clouds will never be that same formation again.

"I've lived here 50 years so I've seen plenty of sunsets, but they are always a bit different and this one was certainly something special."

Mr Langford added: "Twenty minutes later it was gone, so I was glad that I spotted it in time."
