The German war plane was raised from the English Channel on Monday and is now due to arrive in Shropshire for restoration work.

The Dornier was lifted from the water just off the Kent coastline, before being towed six miles to a port in Ramsgate where it has been waiting since Wednesday.

It should be arriving at Cosford at 4pm, transported by two low-loader lorries.

Michelle Morgans, spokeswoman for the museum, said: "It will be leaving Ramsgate early tomorrow morning. This has just been a gradual process, we weren't sure how long it would take. We're definitely excited about its arrival."
