Travellers camp on ex-Newport store site

A group of travellers was this afternoon camped on the site of a former DIY shop in Newport.

About eight vehicles have moved onto the site of the old Focus DIY store in Audley Avenue.

The travellers arrived at about 9pm yesterday and set up camp behind the unit, which closed down last year. Police have visited the site.
