Burglars in Church Stretton home raids

Two homes in south Shropshire have been ransacked by burglars just days after Christmas.

Police today said they were investigating the burglaries at two homes in Church Stretton where property worth more than £2,500 was stolen.

Officers say the burglars smashed through a patio window at a home in Chelmick Drive between 1pm and 6pm on Wednesday.

Police said the burglars caused £400 of damage and stole a Samsung laptop valued at about £1,000 and pieces of jewellery.

Jewellery was also taken from a bungalow in Ragleth Road between 5.30pm on Tuesday and 8am on Thursday.
