A junior football league at the centre of a results row is continuing to censor match scores to avoid embarrassing young players.

Newly published results for the Telford Junior League show results as either 1-0 wins or 1-1 draws following a meeting of the league on Sunday.

It was called to review the policy after it hit the headlines.

The league, which has more than 2,000 players from clubs in Telford, north Shropshire and Bridgnorth, came under fire after it was revealed to be doctoring results on the website.

It claimed to be acting on Football Association guidelines.

A club member, who did not want to be named, said after the meeting 'the decision was to leave everything as it is'.

The league's assistant secretary Stephen Groome said it was agreed that league spokesman Keith Davies would release a statement, but so far has not done so.

The Shropshire FA said it would be released today.
