Michael Ryan, an anti-incinerator campaigner from Shrewsbury, said he was highly concerned, on health grounds, by waste firm Veolia's plans to build a facility at Battlefield Enterprise Park.
Part of Veolia's case in favour of the incinerator states that Government advice on such facilities says there is 'no credible evidence of adverse health outcomes for those living near well-managed incinerators'.
But Mr Ryan claimed that the Health Protection Agency had not done enough research to support this contention.
