A 46-year-old man has denied robbing a Newport petrol station armed with a cap gun.
Terence Ecclestone, of High Street, Broseley, appeared in Shrewsbury Crown Court yesterday in connection with the raid at Nix Service Station, which is a BP service station in Forton Road.
He denied robbing Charlotte Lovatt of £140 on March 15 and being in possession of an imitation firearm at the time of committing an offence on the same date.
The case was adjourned for trial and Ecclestone was remanded in custody.
