Telford Tigers Premier League ice hockey team has been boosted by a major new three-year sponsorship deal.
The deal will see the team rebranded as the Eurologix Telford Tigers for the new season which gets underway in the autumn.
Manager David Candlin said: "Telford Tigers are absolutely thrilled to welcome Eurologix on board as the team's title sponsor in a substantial three-year deal.
"We see this as a long-awaited stepping stone to a bigger and brighter future for ice hockey in Shropshire."
Eurologix is a global 'turnkey security solutions manufacturer' with its head office in Cannock, Staffordshire.
Managing Director Mike Loughlin said: "Eurologix is a UK company investing in UK sport, and this deal represents a long-term commitment to invest in the local community, with Telford being our closest ice hockey team.
"We want to see Eurologix Telford Tigers grow and succeed and we are putting in a substantial financial investment, as well as offering the team access to our very successful business resources, to ensure the long-term viability of the side.
"Tigers are a good team and I am looking forward to working with them. We have the right people running the club. It has just needed the financial investment, which has been lacking.
"Together, Dave Candlin, Claude Dumas and I want to build a successful community-based team, which can compete at the highest possible level.
"The Eurologix Telford Tigers will be a different team this year, and not just because of the name.
"I am working to assist the team in attracting further sponsors, and aim to use my experience and contacts to help make the club a profitable organisation through good management and business acumen."
Candlin added: "This deal is the result of five years' work behind the scenes at Telford Tigers. Mike Loughlin has been impressed with the set-up and our achievements so far.
"This really is a new era for Eurologix Telford Tigers. We have always been the lowest spending team in the league, by a long way. We have been minnows, but now we will be able to swim with the bigger fish.
Candlin believes the deal could not have come at a better time for Telford.
"Hockey has been part of Telford's culture for 23 years and we will be getting a new rink as part of the town centre development," he said.
