Residents are invited to enjoy an afternoon of live music, picnics and community spirit when Hanwood Village Hall hosts an Open Mic and Picnic in the Park later this month.
The free event takes place on Saturday, September 12, from 2pm to 6pm, at Hanwood Village Hall and Park.
Local performers will take to the stage throughout the afternoon, with organisers encouraging musicians, singers and other acts to get involved in the open mic sessions.
Visitors are invited to bring their own picnic and rug, settle down in the park and enjoy the entertainment. A barbecue and licensed bar will also be available.
The family-friendly event is open to all ages and aims to bring the community together for an afternoon of music, food and fun. Organisers are keeping their fingers crossed for sunshine, but are encouraging everyone to pack an umbrella just in case the weather has other ideas.
