Summer fair to raise funds for historic Shrewsbury church
St Giles’ Church will host stalls, games and refreshments at its annual community summer fair
The local community is being invited to a summer fair at the medieval St Giles’ Church in Shrewsbury.

The event will take place at the church on Wenlock Road on Saturday, September 5, from 10.30am to 1pm, with activities planned both inside and outside the historic building.
Visitors will be able to browse stalls selling home-grown plants, homemade cakes and Fairtrade goods, alongside a bottle stall and raffle.
There will also be games and activities, including a ‘bash the rat’ challenge, marble games and wind-up toys.
Visitors will have the opportunity to look around the ancient sandstone church, while tea, coffee and cake will be available in the Fellowship Room next to the church.
Money raised from the event will help support St Giles’ Church and its activities in the local community.
