Shropshire charity receives £3,000 boost to support people facing bereavement
Shropshire Bereavement Group will use the donation to recruit and train volunteers as it looks to extend support for children, young people and adults
A Shropshire charity set up following the death of its founder's two sons has received a £3,000 donation to help it expand its support for people facing bereavement.

Shropshire Bereavement Group was founded in 2023 by Shane Game following the loss of her sons, Ben and Toby.
What began as a small support group meeting in Shane's front room has since grown into a community-led organisation providing a safe and supportive space for children, young people and adults dealing with bereavement.
The £3,000 donation from Persimmon Homes West Midlands, through its Community Champions scheme, will help the group recruit and train more volunteers.
The charity hopes this will enable it to reach more people across Shropshire while continuing to provide support to those navigating the loss of a loved one.
Shane said: "Losing my two sons changed my life forever and inspired me to create a service where nobody faces grief alone.
"We are incredibly grateful to Persimmon Homes for this donation. This funding will help us support more children, young people and adults, ensuring they receive the care, understanding and connection they need during life's most difficult moments."
Joe Turner, managing director at Persimmon Homes West Midlands, said: "We are proud to support Shropshire Bereavement Group through our Community Champions scheme.
"We hope this donation helps the charity continue its valuable work and reach even more people across the local community."
The group was established with the aim of ensuring people experiencing grief do not have to face it alone and has continued to develop its services as demand has grown.
