Shrewsbury care home team leader shaves her head in memory of mother, who was cared for by the charity
A Shrewsbury care worker has raised £1,220 for Macmillan Cancer Support after shaving her head in memory of her mother.

Laura Corbett, a team leader at Oxbow Manor care home on Oteley Road, took on the Brave the Shave challenge at a fundraising event attended by residents, relatives and members of the local community.
The afternoon included a bake sale, raffle and Laura's sponsored head shave, raising £610. Care UK matched the amount, bringing the total donation to £1,220.
Laura said she wanted to support the charity after seeing first-hand the care it provided to her family.
She said: "My mother's journey from her diagnosis to when she died was supported and comforted so well by the Macmillan team. I felt I wanted to do my bit so others in the same position can be helped by such a fantastic team."
Michelle Maiden, home manager at Oxbow Manor, praised Laura's efforts.
She said: "We're incredibly proud of Laura and her commitment to raising money for such an important cause.
"It was wonderful to see so many people come together to support the event and help raise funds for Macmillan Cancer Support."
Macmillan Cancer Support provides practical, emotional and financial support to people living with cancer and their families.
