Care UK's Oxbow Manor, on Oteley Road, will host its own Notting Hill Carnival-inspired event on Monday, August 31, from 2.30pm.

The afternoon will feature live music from Sunshine Steel Band, carnival dancers and a Caribbean street food-themed menu prepared by the home's head chef.

Visitors will also be able to meet members of the Oxbow Manor team, chat to home manager Michelle Maiden and take a tour of the care home.

The home features a cinema, pub and hair and beauty salon.

Michelle said the event was part of the home's efforts to play an active role in the local community.

She said: “We're thrilled to be welcoming locals to our carnival extravaganza.

“The event will offer an excellent opportunity for everyone to get their dancing shoes on and feel the beat of the music, as well as showing visitors what life is like at Oxbow Manor.”

She added that the team was looking forward to welcoming local people for an afternoon of music and dancing for all ages.
