A total of more than £10,500 has now been donated by Shrewsbury Severn Rotary Club to 17 recipients – with the promise of even more to follow in the coming weeks.
The club’s latest donations, from its hugely successful Santa Sleigh and Tree of Light as well as personal support, now include:
- Little Stars - £500
- Hope House - £500
- Street Pastors - £500
- Food Hub - £500
- Headway - £400
- Prostate Cancer Support Group - £250
- Music in Hospitals and Care - £300
The above donations were sanctioned by members at the club’s latest meeting.
President Johnathan Callwood said: “We came together as a club to discuss and agree to support these important local charities. We have fulfilled our club motto of ‘having fun and making a difference within the local community by doing, giving and helping’.
“We look forward to supporting more charities over the coming months from the fundraising and events we have planned.”
