Expect to see Superman, Spiderman or Supergirl in Builth Wells on Saturday – as the carnival takes on a Superheroes theme.

It will take over the town on Saturday June 20 and the fun will get under way from 10am when all the entries in the flower, cookery and craft competition have to be taken to the marquee on the Groe for judging.

The crowning of the carnival queen will take place at 1.45pm and then the grand procession will travel around the town before returning to the Groe for an afternoon of entertainment and activities.

The afternoon will end with Tug of War for teams of 10 people. The winner will receive one crate of lager and The Jilly Burns Cup. There will also be the draw of the grand raffle and the 100 club.
