A film following two old friends hiking 400 miles will be shown at a Kington cinema.
The North will be screened to the Old Picture House in Kington on Saturday, June 6 at 7.30pm.
Former best friends Chris and Lluis reunite after ten years to hike Scotland’s West Highland Way and Cape Wrath Trail, hoping the 350-mile journey will revive their fractured bond.
Shot entirely on the route of the walk, and in chronological order, the film follows the pair as the raw beauty and isolation of the Highlands set in and tensions surface: Chris remains tied to his life back home, while Lluis is driven to finish the trail at all costs.
Battling harsh weather, silence, and themselves, the trek becomes a quiet reckoning about friendship, purpose, and the healing power of nature.
Produced by Tuesday Studio while hiking almost 400 miles and directed by Bart Schrijver (Human Nature), The North takes place a decade after Chris (Bart Harder) and Lluis (Carles Pulido) became best friends.
The solitude and silence of the Highlands forces them to confront harsh truths about themselves, their friendship, and what it truly means to stand still and listen.
The film stars Carles Pulido and Bart Harder and it as directed by Bart Schrijver. It runs for 130 minutes.
Tickets are £6.50 and thy and more information is available by calling 07855 254590
