Two down and two to go as Madness set for Ludlow Castle gig
Massive names from the world of rock and pop have been giving the Ludlow Castle crowds shows "for the ages".

And with two out of the four Live at Ludlow Castle 2024 gigs done on Thursday and Friday, tonight is set to see Madness bring their brand of Baggy Trousers to the medieval setting.
And even the weather is set to play ball.
Andy Smith, Head of Live - Futuresound said: "It’s always an amazing thing to see the town come alive like this on the weekend of the castle concerts.

"We couldn’t be happier with how the shows have been so far and once again the castle and Ludlow have been perfect hosts.
"It’s been great to walk around the town and see cafe’s, restaurants, pubs and shops full with people before the shows and the feedback from local business owners has been fantastic.

"We’ve got enhanced production, a bigger stage, site-dressing and a new viewing platform this year which have really added to the site.
"We have two more sold-out shows this weekend before we begin looking ahead, we’re excited to work with the town and the castle on these shows for years to come”

Gemma England, General Manager at Ludlow Castle said: 'We're so excited to kick off night-three of our second sold-out series with the iconic Madness taking to the stage tonight.
"The first two nights have been wonderful and once again it's been a pleasure to work with the Futuresound team on these shows.

"I walk to work every day and to see Ludlow so alive and heaving fills us all with joy, the town has had an amazing and positive environment since Thursday morning.
"The atmosphere has been fantastic and watching concert-goers enjoying these world-famous artists in such a special venue makes us all feel incredibly lucky"

Ludlow Castle on social media says that James on Thursday gave a "spectacular performance".
"A big thank you to The Pigeon Detectives, Sleeper & The Clause and to our brilliant Ludlow crowd for making the opening night so special."
Then on Friday Elbow, they say, "gave us a show for the ages to round off an incredible night two of Live at Ludlow Castle.

"Thanks to Villagers, Nadine Shah and Katherine Priddy, we'll see you tomorrow for Madness!"
After Madness bound off stage next up will be Anne-Marie on Sunday and a host of other exciting bands and musicians.
Ludlow Councillor Andy Boddington said the concerts are 'just what this town needs'.
He said: "This weekend has been great. Lots of people in town. A really good vibe.
"A sense of anticipation of the evening's concert.
"There are lots of people eating, drinking and shopping in the stores and on the market.
"These concerts are great for our town. Great bands. Great atmosphere.
"They have brought the town to life in the early summer. They have brought people to our town who would not normally come here. The concerts are just what this town needs."
