The Big Summer Bash a huge success for Llandrindod Community Events

Summer may well and truly feel over, but the rain didn’t stop Llandrindod Community Events hosting a truly special Big Summer Bash on Sunday, August 30.

The family-friendly event sold over 800 tickets, welcoming people from Llandrindod Wells and beyond to a Sunday full of all kinds of activities.

The event included incredible performances from local bands and musicians, a lively family fun zone packed with bouncy castles and children’s activities and a range of food stalls and a fully-stocked bar.

Not even the wet Welsh weather put a stop to the fun, with feedback including “Had a brilliant day at the Big Summer Bash today despite the weather – the entertainment was amazing as usual, thank you to everyone who organised it. See you next year!”

Lee Percy, Chair of LCE, said: “Once again, the people of Llandrindod Wells proved that even torrential rain can’t dampen community spirit. This is our second Big Summer Bash and we’re really pleased with how everything went.

“A huge thank you to everyone who support the Big Summer Bash, from our musical performers, Benji the magician, food and drink vendors, sponsors, and volunteers – and not least everyone who came along and made it really special.

“Our goal is to create accessible, affordable fun for all, and we think this really achieved that. We’re already looking into next year’s plans!”
