Meet the adorable baby goats stealing hearts at Telford's Exotic Zoo

From ducklings to pygmy goats, Telford Exotic Zoo is celebrating a spring baby boom

Staff at Telford’s Exotic Zoo have spent the last few weeks welcoming a flurry of tiny new arrivals.

Alongside spring’s baby ducks and quails, a lively little herd of pygmy goat kids has joined the growing zoo family at the Telford Town Park attraction.

Zoo owner Scott Adams said this time of year is always a favourite among the team, marking the start of a busy season filled with new babies and excited visitors.

He said: “It’s the start of a baby boom for us at the zoo, when the place comes alive with all the things people love to see: baby goats hopping around, baby joeys peeking out of wallaby pouches, chicks, ducklings. Cute things are everywhere.

“But the goats are by far our favourite - they’re super friendly.”

One youngster, Diana, has needed extra care after her mother was unable to feed her.

Keepers spent several long nights hand-rearing her, and although she has now bonded with her mum, the experience has left her especially attached to staff.

Scott added: “She loves hanging out with us. She’s quite often seen wandering around the zoo with the keepers.”

The team is now busy preparing for the Easter holidays, when visitors will be able to meet some of the latest arrivals and take part in a different kind of egg hunt.

During the Easter event, visitors can watch keepers feed the animals, join the Easter Egg Hunt for a chance to win prizes, meet palaeontologist Tom to learn about the biggest egg, and enjoy arts, crafts and face painting.

Exotic Zoo is open daily from 11am to 4pm. More information and tickets are available at exoticzoo.co.uk.
