People of all ages, backgrounds, and fitness levels come together to walk, jog, or run 3K, 5K, or 10K courses.

Race for Life 5k and 10k events took place at Telford Town Park on Sunday, while Race for Life 3k and 5k events are set to be staged at The Quarry in Shrewsbury on Sunday, May 31.

Telford’s event saw hundreds turn out to watch and support the runners, who braved scorching temperatures as they tackled the course.

The race began at 11am and saw runners follow the paved paths around the park and take to the grass in some stretches.

The first runners made it over the finish line before noon, while those on a steadier pace walked and jogged the course.

There was plenty of support along the route as friends, family and supporters cheered on those taking part.
