Nottingham Forest’s wait for home goal continues after defeat to Arsenal

Morgan Gibbs-White’s goal against Bournemouth on May 24 remains the most recent that home fans have celebrated at the City Ground.
Nottingham Forest’s home goalscoring drought extended to over 500 minutes after drawing another blank against Arsenal.
Forest fans are hardly getting value for money at the City Ground under new boss Oliver Glasner and they have not scored in their opening five games in all competitions this season.
The 1-0 defeat to the Gunners on Sunday afternoon means the wait for a goal is now at 506 minutes, going back to the final day of last season.

Few Forest fans would have thought that when Morgan Gibbs-White, who was missing against Arsenal, put his side ahead against Bournemouth way back on May 24 that they would not celebrate a goal again until at least November.
Glasner’s outfit drew back-to-back blanks against Leeds, first in the Premier League and then the Carabao Cup, before also failing to trouble the scorers against Tottenham and Coventry – though they did have goals disallowed by VAR in both matches.
They missed a flurry of late chances against the Gunners to leave fans wondering if they will ever celebrate a home goal again.
