Lionel Messi and Kylian Mbappe lead way as Golden Boot battle nears conclusion

Argentina will face Spain in the final, while France meet England in the third-place play-off.
This year’s World Cup draws to a close with plenty still to play for in the race for the Golden Boot.
Only two games remain, starting with Saturday’s third-place meeting between England and France before Spain take on Argentina in the final on Sunday, and six of the top seven goalscorers will be in action over the weekend.

The captains of Argentina and France, Lionel Messi and Kylian Mbappe respectively, are currently locked at the top of the Golden Boot standings with eight goals each.
England duo Jude Bellingham and Harry Kane also have the chance to move up the table, with both players scoring six goals so far.

The pair are separated from the top two by Erling Haaland, who netted seven goals for Norway before they were knocked out by England in the quarter-finals.
France forward Ousmane Dembele and Spain striker Mikel Oyarzabal are also narrowly in contention for the prize, with both players finding the net five times across the tournament.
