Wolves striker completes permanent move to Premier League rivals
Jorgen Strand Larsen has completed his move away from Wolves as he joins Premier League rivals Crystal Palace.
The Norwegian striker has left Wolves for an initial £43million, rising to £48million if add-ons are triggered.
The Express & Star understands that most of the £5million in add-ons are likely to be triggered in the coming seasons.
Larsen agreed the move on Sunday and passed his medical, and despite Jean-Philippe Mateta's move to AC Milan falling through, Palace still went ahead with Larsen's signing.
The 25-year-old attracted interest from West Ham, Nottingham Forest and Leeds in the transfer window, with the latter having a bid rejected.
But Palace made a late move to secure his services, which Wolves sanctioned after signing replacement Adam Armstrong.
It brings an end to Larsen's spell at Wolves after less than two years, after he initially signed on loan from Celta Vigo for a £2.5million loan fee, before making a permanent switch for an additional £23million.
The attacker scored 14 goals in his first Premier League season, prompting Newcastle to make a move in the summer and have two bids of £50million and £55million rejected, but he has struggled this term with just one top flight finish to his name.
Larsen will come up against his old club on February 22 when Wolves travel to face Palace in less than three weeks' time.
