'We want to see': Eric Ramsay details Danny Imray West Brom decision as Albion weigh up options in right back decision
Danny Imray's two West Brom starts have seen the on loan full back hooked at half time.
His debut saw him come off after a collectively dreadful first half for Albion down at Portsmouth.
And at Birmingham City on Tuesday he was hauled off under different circumstances - as Albion went on to claim a point.
It came just days after Eric Ramsay had opted to go with Alfie Gilchrist at full back - with the summer signing from Chelsea having struggled for starts since his arrival in the summer.
Imray was taken off while on a booking - and Ramsay has explained that was the key reason behind the correct decision to bring him off.
But he insinuated that the right back position is still up for grabs - and Albion's staff are looking to see whether Imray, who was previously on loan at Blackpool from Crystal Palace, can make the step up to the Championship.
He said: "Well I think Alfie did really well on Saturday in Stoke, obviously he's not played with a lot of rhythm, not got a lot of minutes in the legs and there were 70 relatively good minutes I would say on Saturday.

"I was reluctant to see him go again based upon minutes and rhythm and I didn't want to put him in a position where he was at risk and obviously we want to see Danny, we want to see what he can bring to the side, whether he can make that step up from League One to the Championship."
"He grew into the first half really well, had he not been booked I wouldn't have taken him off but I felt like it was, and of course I can say it in hindsight, a sensible decision.
"I didn't want to risk the two fullbacks being on a booking against pacey, tricky wide players that can also be replaced by pacey and tricky wide players as the game goes on so it was more to do with that than anything else."
