The three options Andrew Nestor and West Brom have as hunt for Ryan Mason successor kicks off
Andrew Nestor and West Brom's hierarchy are working on bringing in a fourth head coach in little over 12 months.
The club's owners inherited Carlos Corberan who then moved on to Valencia for a sizeable compensation figure.
They then turned to Tony Mowbray after a move for Raphael Wicky hit the buffers. And after Mowbray's time was ended they then went for Ryan Mason.
That appointed as ended with another sacking, so where does it leave Albion?
Names are already being linked and Jonny Drury looks at the three options Albion have available to them:
Same again
Mason's appointment was in keeping with a lot of appointments in recent years across English football. Young managers starting out in first managerial roles.
Some have gone well. The prime example is Kieran McKenna over at Ipswich. But many have gone wrong, and Mason now adds to that list.
Whether Albion go back down that route remains to be seen. If they did, then you would be looking at candidates along the lines of Minnesota's English manager Eric Ramsay.
Ramsay was under consideration before Mason was appointed - and is regarded as one of the best young English coaches around, having worked at Manchester United and Chelsea.
A move like this would be a gamble - but cannot be ruled out.
Experience
The most likely road Albion will go down is one of experience. They need it to get out of the dangerous position they currently find themselves in.
Of the early names that have been linked, someone like a Michael Carrick has that Championship experience. It maybe isn't in helping a side stay up or move away from the drop zone, but he has experience.
Some will say he should have done better with Boro given some spending - however he did a relatively decent job.

Russell Martin falls into that category, although a potential appointment wouldn't be initially welcomed by supporters.
Lee Carsley is a big name mentioned and he does have experienced but of a different kind - in the international game.
The interims
An outside possibility is that Albion stick with what they have. This is entirely dependant on results but also the process that takes place.
If Albion are left hamstrung in their recruitment process and are unable to proceed with a manager they want - would they keep James Morrison and co in position?
Maybe. If they go and lost three or four in interim charge then no, but if the cards fall in certain ways it is a potential back up.
