Steve Bull: Wolves need to start feeding the strikers under Rob Edwards

It's a big game for Rob Edwards to take over at Wolves for his first game in charge, but at least it's at home.

The fans will get right behind him and will give him a great welcome. Hopefully the football will be as good as the support we're going to give him.

I don't think he has come here just to sit on his hands, go down and get back up again.

Edwards has come here to try and do a job like Vitor Pereira did last year. He'll give it his all and I really do think he'll give it a good go.

He is very eager, he is very keen and it's the prime job that he has always wanted.

The key areas for him to improve are to stop leaking silly goals. We're letting a lot in, but we're not scoring many as well.

So we've got to stop letting the goals in and create a lot more chances because our forwards who're up there are getting very frustrated due to a lack of service.

The task is the strengthen the back-three, or the back-five up, and start feeding the strikers the balls that they need.

Crystal Palace are flying at the moment and Oliver Glasner has got them playing really well.

But I'm not worried about them, I'm only worried about us. Rob has had a couple of weeks now to get his feet under the table and make his presence felt on the training field.

Hopefully the players will take on board what he is asking them to do. The competition in the starting XI will be key.

They need to go out there and say to all of the other players that I'm going to keep this shirt.

But Rob needs to just make his presence felt, and fingers crossed, get his first three points on the board.
