Shrewsbury Town v Bromley - Ollie Westbury's predicted XI
After more than a month of pre-season training Michael Appleton has had six friendlies to fine-tune his Shrewsbury Town side.

The first starting XI of the year is always an intriguing one. Pre-season has seen Salop play in a 3-5-2 formation, and that is expected to be the way they line up against Bromley this weekend as they kick-start their League Two season.
Our Shrewsbury Town reporter, Ollie Westbury, has picked his team for their fourth-tier opener.

The goalkeeper situation feels like an easy one. Elyh Harrison has not arrived from Manchester United to sit on the bench. However he does have a foot injury. He is set to train on Friday and then Town will make a call on his fitness. He will be essential to Salop’s style of play this campaign.
A completely revamped back three is likely to see three debuts. Tom Anderson, Will Boyle and Sam Stubbs are likely to make their first appearances in blue and amber.
Yet there will likely be familiar faces at wing-back. Luca Hoole and George Nurse got the nod in the final game of pre-season.
Veteran Sam Clucas is almost sure to make his debut. It is the two players he features alongside that is more unclear. Harrison Biggins and Alex Gilliead played last week as Town put in a promising display against Premier League side Burnley. There is a good chance the midfield duo might stay that way.
Who partners with John Marquis up front? Anthony Scully has been brought in to do that, you would expect.
